1)KARUR VYSYA PARTNER WITH STAR HEALTH ;

• The Karur Vysya Bank has entered into a tieup with Star Health and Allied Insurance to provide health insurance products to its customers. 
• Star health will provide cost effective insurance lroducts to the bank's customers. 

2)BUILDING NAMED AFTER SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJEE;

• The new administrative and academic building of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Jharkhand has been named after Bharatiya Jan Singh founder shyma prasad mukherjee on his birth anniversary. 
• Mukherjee dedicated his life to the unity and integrity of the country. 

Did You Know? 

        He gave the call for one nation -one law and sacrificed his life in kashmir. 

3)INDIA, US HELD FORIEGN OFFICE CONSULTATIONS;

• Foreign secretary Harsh vardhan shringla and US under secretary of state for political affairs David Hale held virtual foriegn office consultation on july 7.
• They reviewed the entire gamut of engagements under the India-US comprehensive Global strategic partnership, including political, economic, commercial, regional and international cooperation. 

4)15th FC HELD MEETING WITH WORLD BANK ;

• 15th Finance commission on 7th july 2020 held a meeting with world bank and its High Level Group (HLG) on health sector. 
• The meeting was held for a better understanding of the contours of the country's health sector.

        World Bank has successfully completed 20 year long partnership with Government of India in the area of HIV. 

5)INDIA &AFGHANISTAN SIGNED 5 PACTS;

• India and Afghanistan have signed 5 agreements for developing educational infrastructure in four afghan provinces. 
• The 5 Mou's are signed under the HICDP programme.

6)IOA ADOPTED A NEW IDENTITY ;

• The Indian Olympic Association has adopted a new branding and visual identity, including an institutional and commercial logo. 
• The decision to adopt a new identity was taken, on the occasion marking 100 years of participation of Indian athelets at the olympic games. 

Did You Know? 

        The IOA is planning to have a special launch event of the logo on independence day 2020.

7)WORLD'S FIRST GOLD PLATED HOTEL IN VIETNAM;

• The world's first gold plated hotel has been opened in vietnam which features golden cutlery, cups, toilet seat and and infinity poot. 
• The five star Dolce Hanoi Golden Lake hotel in Hanoi, vietnam cost £160 million to build. 

Did You Know? 

        Even the exterior of the building is covered in around a ton of gold. 

8)5 STATRUPS TO BUILD A PLATFORM ;

• The ministry of Electronics and IT earlier in April 2020 invited local technology startups  to build a secure video conferencing platform. 
• The government shortlisted 10 indian startups in june 2020 and it has now narrowed down to five sartups.
