IBPS PO 2019: Important Dates, Eligibility, Application Form

IBPS PO 2019: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is going to release the notification for the Probationary Officer/Management Trainee entrance examination. IBPS PO 2019 exam will be completed in 2 stages- Preliminary stage & Main exam. It is expected that the IBPS PO exam 2019 (main) will be held in the month of October 2019. Interested and eligible candidates willing to appear in this exam must submit their application form as per the prescribed schedule. Eligibility criteria for IBPS PO 2019

Candidates should satisfy the following eligibility criteria before applying IBPS PO exam 2019
Nationality:
A candidate must be either
(i) Citizen of India or
(ii) Subject of Nepal or
(iii) Subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
The applicants belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) must hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the government of India.
Age criteria:
The age of the applicants should be in between 20 to 30 years.
A relaxation in upper age as per the following scheme will be provided to reserved category candidates:

  • The applicants should hold a graduation degree from a recognized university or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

IBPS PO Application Form 2019

The applications will be invited from eligible applicants for IBPS PO 2019. You can get the application forms from the official website. The applications have to be filled through online mode. Before filling the application form, candidates have to register themselves online by submitting the basic details like email id, name, mobile number etc. On successful registration, a system generated application number and password will be sent on candidate’s registered email id and mobile number. Using these login credentials, applicants can access and fill the application form. The applicants need to enter all the genuine details as required on the application form. They also need to upload the scanned images of their photograph & signature as per the specified format. The marks obtained in all the subjects in all the semesters of graduation, irrespective of honors/optional/additional subjects, calculated upto two decimal points needs to be entered in the application form. After completely filling the form, the candidates are advised to check all the entered details, as they cannot be changed after final form submission. You can click on ‘save and next’ to verify the details and then click on ‘final submit’ button to submit the form.
Application fee:
The final stage in the application process will be the payment of application fee.
The application fee is Rs. 600/- (for reserved categories the fee is Rs. 100/-).
The application fee can be paid through online mode via debit card/credit card/net banking/ IMPS/Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
In case of unsuccessful payment, the applicants should login again and pay the application fee. If the amount is debited in failed payment, the amount will be reversed back into the account.
A printout of the e-receipt and online application form must be taken and kept safe for any future correspondence.

Center for IBPS PO Exam 2019

The IBPS PO 2019 Exam will be conducted in various major cities across the country. The exam center once allotted cannot be changed under any condition. The IBPS holds the authority to add new centers or cancel any of the exam centers or allot any exam center other than the one opted.

IBPS PO 2019 Examination Pattern

For Preliminary exam
  • The examination will be held in online mode.
  • There will be 3 sections in the question paper- Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language.
  • The total marks will be 100 & total no. of questions will also be 100.
  • The duration of the examination will be 1 hour.
  • The language of the examination will be both Hindi & English (except English language section).
  • There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the objective questions.

Admit Card

The admit cards/call letters can be downloaded from the IBPS official website by entering details of Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. The call letters will be issued separately for IBPS PO Preliminary exam, Mains exam & for Interview.
The candidate must appear for the IBPS PO exam (both preliminary as well as main) with the valid call letter, a original photo identity proof with the same name as on call letter and application form and a photocopy of the identity proof.
Identity Documents:
The candidate should bring any of the following documents as a proof for identity:
PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer/ People’s Representative along with a photograph/ Identity Card issued by a recognized college/ university/Aadhaar card with a photograph/ Employee ID
Biometric Data:
On the day of main exam, the biometric data (right thumb impression or otherwise) and photograph of the candidate will be captured.

Result

IBPS PO 2019 result will be declared after successful completion of the IBPS PO 2019 examination. The result will be published in the official website itself. After the declaration of result of preliminary exam, the shortlisted candidates will be informed about the main exam and after the result of main exam the shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview.

IBPS PO Cut off marks

On the basis of number of vacancies available, the cut off marks will be decided by the examination authority. The applicants have to score the specified cut off marks in the main exam to be able to get shortlisted for the interview. The marks obtained by the shortlisted candidates will not be disclosed before the completion of the interview process.

IBPS PO Interview

The candidates shortlisted in the main exam will have to appear for the interview conducted by the participating organizations. The interview will be conducted at the selected centers and the details of the center, i.e., address, time and date will be mentioned in the interview call letter. The candidates appearing for the interview must produce the following documents in original along with their self-attested photocopies:
  • Interview Call Letter valid printout
  • Valid printout of online application form
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate/Std. X Certificate)
  • Photo Identify Proof
  • Mark-sheets or certificates for Graduation or equivalent qualification
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC category candidates)
  • Disability certificate (Persons with Benchmark Disability)
  • Copy of the Service or Discharge book along with pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last/presently held (Ex-serviceman candidate)
  • “No Objection Certificate” from the employer (Candidates serving in Government/quasi government offices/Public Sector Undertakings)
  • Domicile certificate if eligible for age relaxation (J&K candidates)
  • Certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons
  • Experience certificates, if any
  • Certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India for the candidates who are not India citizen (point (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of Eligibility Criteria)

Provisional Allotment
After the interview is conducted, the shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating organizations. The allotment will be done on the basis of merit-cum-preference keeping in mind the various guidelines of the Government related to reservation and others. The decision of IBPS will be final and no request for change in the allotted organization will be entertained. Formalities such as issuance of appointment letter, verification, joining, etc. will the decision of the participating institutes.
