1)INDIA'S ONLY "GOLDEN TIGER"SPOTTED IN ASSAM;



  • A Golden Tiger was spotted in Kaziranga National Park, Assam. 
  • The photo of the rare tiger was taken by Mayuresh Hendre and shared by Indian Forest Services officer Parveen kaswan. 

Did You Know?

        According to Kaswan, this is the only documentation of the Golden Tiger in 21st century.

2)ISRO CHIEF K. SIVAN NAMED FOR AN AWARD;


  • ISRO Chief Dr. Kailasavadivoo sivan has been named as the recipient of the 2020 Von Karman Award of the International Academy of Astronautics. 
  • The award which is the highest distinction of the academy will be conferred in march 2021 in paris.

        Charles Elachi was the previous recipient of the award.

3)BHANU JAYANTI CELEBRATED IN SIKKIM;


  • 206th birth anniversary of Nepali poet Adikavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya in sikkim on 13 july 2020.
  • Nepali Sahitya Parishad organized a programme at Bhanu Udyan in Gangtok, which was attended by Governor Ganga Prasad and CM Prem Singh Tamang.

        Acharya laid the foundation of Nepali Literature.

4)SPORTS MINISTER HELD A TWO  DAYS VIDEO CONFERENCE ;


  • Sports minister Kiren Rijiju will hold a two day video conference with sports and youth affairs minister of all states and union territories. 
  • It will chart out the road map for grassroot level sports development as well as activities of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and National Service Scheme, across the country. 


5)LIONEL MESSI :FIRST PLAYER TO RECORD 20 GOALS ;


  • Barcelona srtiker Lionel Messi has become the first player in the history of La Liga to record 20 goals and 20 assists in a single season. 
  • He achieved the feat against Real Valldolid as Barcelona defeated them 1-0.

6)A CHHATTISGARH APP AWARDED ;


  • Chhattisgarh's Mukhyamantri Darpan and Mobile App has been awarded "Elites Excellence Award-2020"at National level.
  • The app contains the details of all the flagship schemes of the Chhattisgarh government including the ambitious  'Suraji Gaon Yojna'. 


7)PARADIP PORT BEGAN EXIM SERVICES ;


  • Odisha's paradip port has commenced EXIM service, which help to reduce logistics costs for industries of odisha. 
  • It is a historic event for Odisha and Paradip since it is for the first time, a regular EXIM service os starting  from Paradip to Port Klang, Malaysia. 

8)DR. VIDHU P. NAIR : AMBASSADOR TO TURKMENISTAN ;


  • Vidhu P Nair, a foriegn service officer of batch 2002, has been appointed as the next ambassador of India to Turkmenistan as per the ministry of External Affairs. 
  • Nair is presently serving as the Director in the Ministry of External  Affairs.
