SBI Clerk 2019: Application Form, Important Dates, Registration Link

SBI Clerk 2019: State Bank of India, one of the leading banks of India will be releasing the recruitment notifications for SBI Clerk 2019. The interested candidates can apply for vacancies in one state only. However, the applicants must ensure their eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. In order to get selected, the candidates will have to clear the preliminary test, the main exam and the specified language test depending on the state for which he/she is applying. Both application form filling and examination will be in online mode. SBI Clerk 2019 Important Dates

Candidates can find below the tentative schedule of SBI Clerk 2019 which will be updated after the announcement of official notification. We have taken these dates based on previous years’ notification and hence students should consider it just for reference purpose.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate can apply for the SBI Clerk 2019 recruitment exam only if he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria defined for the exam as mentioned below:
The minimum and maximum age of candidates should be 20 years and 28 years respectively. This means the candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.1999 inclusive of both dates) can apply.
Candidates of reserved category will get the relaxation in age as per the following rules:

The candidate should have a recognized graduation degree in any discipline. The candidates with integrated dual degree should make sure that the date of passing this degree is on or before 01.01.2019. The date of passing the qualifying exam will be the one printed on the original mark sheet/ certificate or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute in case the result is posted on the official University/ Institute website.
Matriculate ex-servicemen with Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in Navy or Air Force with at least 15 years of service are also eligible for SBI Clerk 2019.
The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular state must be proficient in the specified opted local language of the state. A test to assess the knowledge of the candidate in the opted local language will be conducted after the SBI Clerk 2019 main exam.

SBI Clerk 2019 Application Form

SBI Clerk application form 2019 will be made available on the official website of State bank of India. The candidates are required to fill up every particular of the application form very carefully. An application form with wrong entries will lead to its rejection. The candidates can fill the form in more than one go. They can save the partly filled form and can re-open the form later to fill it again. After saving the data entered, a provisional registration number and password will be generated. This registration number and password can be used for entering and changing the remaining details. However, this provision is only allowed 3 times. Once, the complete data is entered in the application form, no change/ edit will be allowed.
The candidates must also upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the specification given below:

The candidates from PwD category, who wish to use a scribe, must indicate this in the form. Such candidates will have to arrange their own scribe.
After this, the candidates should proceed towards application fee payment. The candidates need to make the payment of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ PwD and Ex-Servicemen category candidates) as application fee. The payment of the application fee can be made via online payment gateway using debit card/ credit card/ net banking. On successful completion of transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated. The candidates should take a printout of these documents and keep it safe for further correspondence. In case of unsuccessful payment, the candidates should register again and make fee payment.

SBI Clerk 2019 Exam Pattern

Preliminary Exam
The SBI Clerk preliminary exam will be conducted in online mode. Candidates will be provided 100 questions distributed into three sections namely English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes. The paper will be bilingual, i.e. in both Hindi and English except for the questions in the English Language subject. There will be negative marking for the wrong answers and 1/4th marks allotted to the question will be deducted.

Main Exam
The mode of SBI Clerk Main exam will also be online. Candidates will be given 190 objective types questions to solve from General English, General/ Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The medium of the question paper will be English as well Hindi, except for the General English questions. 1/4th marks will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. Note: The candidates eligible for using a scribe will be provided extra 20 minutes/hour even if they are not using the scribe.

Pre-exam training

The bank may arrange pre-exam training for SC/ ST/ EX-Servicemen/ Religious Minority Community. The candidates wishing to appear for this test needs to indicate this in their online application.

Exam Center

The SBI Clerk 2019 exam will be conducted across many centers all over India. SBI preserves the right cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres and can allot the candidate any centre other than the one he/ she has opted for. Any request for change of centre will not be entertained and the center allotted by the exam authorities will be final.

Biometric Verification

The bank may conduct biometric verification of the candidates at different stages to prove their authenticity. The applicants will be asked to provide their thumb impression for this purpose. As such, the candidates should the application of any external matter like mehandi, ink, etc. on their hands.

SBI Clerk Admit Card 2019

The admit card/ call letter and ‘acquaint yourself’ booklet for SBI Clerk for prelims exam will be released 2-3 weeks before the examination. SBI Clerk mains admit card will be issued only to those candidates who successfully qualify the preliminary exam. Candidates can download their admit card online through the official website link. The direct link to download the SBI Clerk 2019 admit card will also be provided on this page after the official announcement. No hard copy for the same will be sent to the candidates by any means. The candidates must bring a photo identity proof (in original and photocopy) along with the admit card on the exam center.
