1)MCA EXTENDED TERM OF JUSTICE BANSI LAL BHAT;


  • The ministry of corporate affairs has extended the term of justice Bansi Lal Bhat as acting chair person of NCLAT by 3 months. 
  • The extension was applicable from june 15, 2020, the other side or until a regular chairperson was appointed.

2)BANGLADESH LAUNCHED "DIGITAL HAAT";



  • The government of Bangladesh has launched a 'Digital Haat'for online sale and purchase of sacrificial animals ahead of the festival of Eid-Ul-Azha. 
  • This is going to be the country's biggest digital haat. 


3)US FORMALLY ANNOUNCED ITS WITHDRAWAL FROM WHO;


  • The Trump administration has formally notified the United Nations of its decision to withdraw US from WHO. 
  • It has broken off the ties with the global health body amidst the raging corona virus pandemic. 
  • The US has also accused WHO of siding with china on the out break of corona virus, which is originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019.


4)INTERNATIONAL CRICKET BACK IN ACTION ;


  • The first cricket match of three test series between England and West Indies was played on 8 july 2020 at Ageas Bowl, London. 
  • With this, the international cricket has finally returned after a hiatus of 117 days caused by COVID -19 pandemic. 


5)INDIA GLOBAL WEEK 2020 INAUGURATED;


  • PM Narendra Modi delivered the inaugural address on the first day of India global week 2020.
  • The theme of the three day virtual conference is Be The Revival :India and a Better New World.

6)AMIT PANGHAL RANKED NO. 1 IN AIBA RANKINGS;



  • World championships silver medalist boxer Amit Panghal is ranked No. 1 mens 52kg weight class, according to latest world rankings released by AIBA. 
  • He is the only one Indian to claim no. 1 spot in the rankings.

        Among women, world's silver medalist Manju Rani (48kg) was the highest ranked at second shot. 


7)SACHIN AWASTHI HONOURED WITH AN AWARD;


  • President of National Media Club, Sachin Awasthi bagged top publicist honoured under Global Humanitarian Award 2020.
  • He is one of the 100 awardees nominated from 35 countries and 7 continents.

8)SELF SCAN APP LAUNCHED IN WEST BENGAL;


  • West Bengal Chief Minister  Mamta Banerjee has launched a mobile application, which have been developed by the states information technology department. 
  • The self scan app came after the centre banned 59 chinese mobile application and amid a call for boycott of chinese goods.
