1)QUINTON DE KOCK NAMED CRICKETER OF THE YEAR ;

• Quinton de kock was named men's cricketer of the year at the cricket south africa annual awards, his second honour after 2017.
• De kock is the captain of south african team in limited -overs cricket, also bagged the Test cricket  of the year award.

        Opener Laura wolvaardt was adjudged as the women's cricketer of the year and ODI cricketer of the year. 

2)INDIA'S FIRST NPNT COMLIANT DRONE FLIGHT;

• India's first NPNT compliant drone flight on the A200 Remotely Piloted Aircraft System(RPAS)has been sucessfully completed. 
• The flight was carried out in a green zone identified by the DGCA, near Tumkur in Karnataka, and marks a critical break through in online testing and permission systems.

3)ISRAEL LAUNCHED OFEK 16 SATELLITE INTO SPACE;

• Israel launched the new ofek 16 spy satellite into orbit from a launchpad at palmahim airbase on 6july 2020.
• Ofex 16 is an electro optical reconnaissance satellite with advanced capabilities. 

Did You Know? 

        This was the first launch of israel satellite since Space Com's Amos-17 tookoff from Florida in 2017.

4)INJETI SRINIVAS APPOINTED AS CHAIRMAN OF IFSCA;

• The Appointments Committee of cabinet approved the appointment of injeti srinivas as chairman of IFSCA. 
• IFSCA was recently established by the finance ministry on April 27, 2020.

5)VALTTERI BOTTAS WON F1AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX;

• Valtteri Bottas has won for mercados at the Austrian Grand Prix. 
• The race was interuppted three times by a safety car and 9 of 20 driver abounded.

6)ICG & INDONESIA COAST GUARD SIGNED MOU;

• A Mou has been signed by the Indian coast guard and Indonesia coast guard. 
• It will enhance collobrative and cooperative engagements in the domains of maritime law enforcement, maritime and rescue and marine pollution responce. 

7)DRDO TO SETUP RESEARCH CELL AT IIT HYDERABAD ;

• The DRDO is going to establish a research cell at IIT hyderabad to meet the future defence technological requirements of the country.
• A Mou in this regard was signed on 3july 2020.

8)WORLD ZOO NOSES DAY 2020-JULY 6;

• World zoonoses day is marked on july 6 every year. 
• Zoonoses is an infectious disease that is transmitted from vertebrate animals to humans.
• World zoonoses day is held every year to commemorate first vaccination against zoonotic infection by Louis pasteur on 6 july 1885.
