1)UNICEF INDIA PARTNERED WITH SAP INDIA;


  • UNICEF India has announced a partnership with SAP India. 
  • It will provide career councelling to young people in the country that will improve their employability skills in a COVID and post COVID era. 

Did You Know?

       UNICEF is collaborating with Yuwaah under this initiative to provide digital education and occupational skillset to young people.

2)MARCUS RASHFORD RECEIVED HONORARY DEGREE;


  • Manchester United Star Marcus Rashford is set to become the youngest degree from 'The University of Manchester '. 
  • Is is a recognition for his achievement as a footballer and as a passionate campaigner against child poverty


3)WORLD DAY OF INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE :17 JULY;


  • World day of International Justice, is also known as Day of International Criminal Justice is observed on 17 July every year.
  • The day is celebrated as a port of an effort to recognize the emerging system of International Criminal Justice.

        The date marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Rome statue, the founding treaty of the International Criminal Court.

4)FIRST TRIAL CONTAINER SHIP TO BANGLADESH ;


  • The first trial container  ship from Kolkata to Agartala through Chattogram port was flagged off by the shipping minister Mansukh Madaviya ln 16 july 2020.
  • It will open a new chapter in the India-Bangladesh maritime relations by allowing use of chattogram and mongla ports for transit of goods from India. 


5)STATE CULTURE COUNCIL IN CHHATTISGARH;


  • Chhattisgarh government has approved the formation of chhattisgarh culture council with the objective to save, cherish and promote the folk arts and culture of all states. 
  • All the units of the culture department will be integrated under the council.

        Before the information of chhattisgarh state, all cultural activities in chhattisgarh were conducted from Bhopal.

6)DARKAR 2022 YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES POSTPONED;


  • The 2020 summer Youth Olympic Games, which is scheduled to take place in Darkar, senegal, has been postponed by four years to 2026.
  • The Darkar 2022 Youth Olympics will also feature total gender equality for the first time in olympic history.

        The Darkar Youth Olympic Games will be the first olympic event in Africa.

7)INDIA ORIGIN LEADER ELECTED SURINAME PRESIDENT ;


  • Chandarikapersad Santokhi has been elected the president of suriname by the Latin American Country's National Assembly. 
  • A former Justice Minister, santokhi of the Progressive Reform Party (PRP) was elected unopposed.


8)INDIAN -AMERICAN TO BE ACTING HEAD OF A US ORGANIZATION ;


  • Prominent Indian -American scientist Dr.Parag Chitnis has been appointed as the Acting Director of the Prestigious National Institute of Foid and Agriculture. 
  • The organization drives all federally funded agricultural research in the US.
  • Chitni's replaces Dr.Scott Angle who accepted a position as vice president of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Florida.
